The Torres kids are just normal kids. Judah likes comic books and hanging out with his friends. Michael is an introvert, preferring to read a book to playing with others. Mary is the smallest in her class but won't back down from a fight. And David is an amiable kindergartener.

They are just normal kids until one afternoon at Judah's soccer game they (and everyone in the field) suddenly, unexplainably fall asleep. Waking three days later, no one can explain what's happened to them or begin to imagine what's been set in motion.

Now they and their friends are something more than just normal kids. Dubbed "Sleepers" by the press, they find that with the aid of metal bands called bonders they have incredible powers... they can do things they only dreamed of.

But something else happened when they fell asleep ... an Evil was unleashed on their close-knit community. Now their teammates are selling a new designer drug called Ozone at school, Sleepers are disappearing and their friends are going mad.

Will these once normal kids be able to stop the darkness descending on them...and, if so, at what cost?

Bonds: Ozone & The Sleepers is the first book in a series of six novels that follows the Torres Family on their quest to stop an evil that attempts to corrupt their community and, if left unchecked, will destroy all they hold dear.
