Breaking the Poverty Cycle

This book presents a psychosocial approach and strategy for promoting sustainable development and breaking the poverty cycle. It makes clear the role that empowering minds can have in reducing different kinds of poverties from emotional to social to economic. Based on the programs of a Mexican non-profit (IMIFAP), Pick and Sirkin outline the Framework for Enabling Empowerment (FrEE) as a means to operationalize Amartya Sen's Capability Approach.
