Building Altars: Becoming a Living Sacrifice

In this book we will examine each example in the Bible where an altar was built. We will look at the reason it was built as well as the spiritual application. Some of the topics covered include: The purpose of altars in the Bible, Who were the altar builders, What are memorials and Old Testament sacrifices. In each occasion where an altar was built, God did something special in the life of the altar builder. Today we no longer build altars made with stones, but rather spiritual altars where we have encounters with the living God. David Chapman is the founding pastor of The River in southeast Arizona. His wife Debbie is a Veterinarian and together with their children and dogs, they enjoy the desert life.
