Bulletproof

Nineteen-year-old NELL SLAGLE is shot by her younger brother, CARSON, who then drives to a middle school and kills twenty-five people, including himself. NELL's life spirals out of control and she becomes a homeless heroin addict.

Defense contractor HONEYDEW INDUSTRIES recruits NELL and other homeless people to be human guinea pigs. HONEYDEW's experiment makes NELL bulletproof. She destroys their laboratory and runs away.

NELL blames the gun industry for ruining her life, and goes on a killing spree specifically targeting gun shows. While on the run, she meets SKEETER FOOTE, a truck driver who has smuggled illegal immigrants across the border. SKEETER makes a deal with NELL. He'll hide her from the police if she'll execute an act of revenge for him.

The Pentagon wants NELL, but they don't want the world to know that they paid HONEYDEW to make her invulnerable. The FBI assigns special agents JOHN EASTER and MARA ZAVALA to work with Pentagon official LT. GENERAL BUCK CARTER.

A private militia headed by HARRY PIGOTT and funded by gun manufacturer BULLARD ARMS also searches for NELL. HARRY's militia catches up with NELL and SKEETER first, shooting them both and leaving. SKEETER dies in NELL's arms.

Hunting for HARRY's militia, NELL is attacked by CARTER's squad of Navy SEALs. NELL defeats them and takes CARTER's helicopter.

NELL finds HARRY's militia. HARRY escapes and hides in a middle school. The teachers believe HARRY is an active shooter and go into lockdown. This triggers NELL's memories of CARSON's attack on a middle school. NELL realizes that she can't kill anymore; guns don't solve any problems. She goes unarmed into the school and stops HARRY.

While the police arrest HARRY, NELL slips away. FBI special agents EASTER and ZAVALA catch up with NELL and give her a new identity. As a long haul trucker, NELL drives into her future.
