Capote

This is the official tie-in Shooting Script to 'one of the best films of the year' ("Rolling Stone"), starring Philip Seymour Hoffman as Capote on his six-year investigation of a cold-blooded killer. It's 1959, and the feted author of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is desperate for a new subject. Deep in rural Kansas a family of four is brutally murdered. The title of the resulting book, "In Cold Blood", aptly describes Capote's own questionable motives as he waits almost impatiently for the death sentence to be carried out so that he can finish his masterpiece. Both the film and Hoffman's uncanny performance as Truman Capote already tipped for major awards including Golden Globes and Oscars.
