Caregiver: A Reluctant Extrovert is my husband's journey through Stem Cell Transplant through my eyes. His story became mine. The constant cooking, cleaning, medication administration list, and organization were too much. I had become the all-around glue person. The trouble was that I was becoming unglued myself. Trivial things were making me angry, and I did not know why. I learned a lot about myself and my emotions. I thought I had it together. I had to stop trying to control everything because I did not know what the next day would bring. I always controlled my environment, from homeschooling to hairdressing to home life. The situation was also complicated because, for the first time in our marriage, I was alone.
