The old world has collapsed. The new world is still haunted by ghosts of its past. In the sanctuary of Star City, a technologically advanced city-state run by a self-conscious artificial intelligence, Selene, a young couple struggles to build a life together. Their dream of starting a family is broken by an emerging political force that aims to mold society according to a twisted vision of a radically mechanized utopia. The answer to preserve that which is most intrinsically human may lie beyond the safety of the city confines in a storm ravaged world.
