Carol Gilligan and the Search for Voice

A biography of the life and work of groundbreaking developmental psychologist Carol Gilligan, intended for high school age readers, part of the APA's Extraordinary Women in Psychology Series. Carol Gilligan has devoted her life to discovering, uncovering, and recovering voices belonging to girls and women, as well as boys and men. Through her work, she has played an enormous role in reconceptualizing traditionally held views on moral and identity development in young people, most prominently in her landmark 1982 book detailing her ethic of care model, In a Different Voice (coined by Harvard University Press as The little book that started a revolution).
