Cascais in Watercolor

When motion-picture storyboard artist Gary Damian Thomas found himself at the mercy of a major Hollywood shutdown, he decided to make the most of the downtime by capturing his new home in Portugal in watercolor. Over the course of a year he produced seventy works capturing the natural beauty and charm of the seaside village of Cascais. This story reveals the challenges and emotional highs and lows of an artist's road from inspiration to creation, revelation to melancholy, fantasy to reality.
