Scott Montgomery realizes the truth; not just about the extent of damage to the world's infrastructure but also the drastic plans one group has for regaining control. The larger problem that emerges is a shadowy groups response to the disaster which puts the US Navy at odds with a paramilitary group called Praetor 5. This struggle is the first true test of global survival but it may come at the cost of losing our humanity.
