Chaucer'S Surprise in the Park

Chaucers Surprise in the Park was inspired by a little girl named Grace and her love of parks, bugs, and a little dog named Chaucer. It begins with Grace and Chaucer studying a picture of a spider on the socks Graces grandparents gave her for Halloween. She wears the socks when the family visits a new park Grace has heard about. As the story unfolds, its plot twists and turns just like the path in the park they visit. Little do Grace and Chaucer know that they will soon become involved in a wonderful adventure where fact and fiction become muddled and imagination and reality become one. The park is home to many different bugs (and remember, Grace loves bugs!). But the bugs she and Chaucer meet are not your ordinary, average, run-on-the-sidewalk kind!

Chaucers Surprise in the Park is a book that can be enjoyed by all children but is written to be read by children from about seven to nine years of age. It is the fourth book in Lensmires series of books Tails by Chaucer.
