It is twelve years since Daoud's war started. Humanity is fighting a desperate battle against multiple alien species, and on the verge of losing the war.



General Kate Leland is in prison, a traitor to her species. Her old friend and colleague, Djembe Cygnate, leads a conspiracy to break her out, and bring down Daoud from inside the military.
