This sequel to Kahala Sun relates the adult lives of the ten children who have come to Kahala's shores and the continuation of the family tradition to care for children in need.

He'enalu born to Analei
Was first in Kahala
Till four came to stay.
The four had names that began in P:
Pono (righteous), Paleo (talk),
Pomaika'i (blessing) at the age of three;
Punahele (favorite) at two years old:
He'enalu's age, the child most bold.
Then Kanani, born to Analei,
Was the sixth boy who'd come to stay,
In the Sundale house to laugh and play.

Kahala's girls near Analei
Were four who lived
Two doors away.
Most were orphans (three of them),
And their names began in M:
Miki (lively), Malia (Mary)
Makalapua (blossom forth),
Of all the girls, the most contrary.
Then Kahala birthed her own child,
Maluhia, (peaceful), sweet and mild.
These Jenner girls,
Who'd laugh and play,
Were cousins to the boys
Two doors away.

Thus, seven orphans came to stay
Where hearts had opened up their doors
Between two houses ten would play
On the sunlit beach of Kahala shores.

And now full grown, their childhood done,
A new story unfolds in Kahala Sun.
