This work presents a systematic hypothesis testing approach to assessing phonological processing skills in children, and is based on the courses run by the authors. Principles of psycholinguistic/cognitive neuropsychological testing are introduced through a series of activities aimed at heightening awareness of theoretical and practical issues.
