He catches criminals, I defend them - how could this possibly work?

I see the good in everyone. My heart bleeds for the people who get a bad rap and no shot at redemption. Being a defense lawyer in a small town is not easy--especially when I am defending the criminals they loathe. And then, wouldn't you know it. I attract the attention of the hottest cop in the entire town. He's smart, rugged, and completely irresistible.

But there's one problem...

Luke Hudson is running for sheriff. And he would be a damn good sheriff. This man never backs down. He sees the law in black and white--right or wrong. I see all the shades of gray in between. Now, with the election looming and our relationship heating up, everything implodes.

Luke's given a choice: it's either me or his dream job.
