What is your identity? Where do you derive meaning? At a certain age, your identity is your choice. It can be overwhelming with 35,000 daily choices vying for our attention to create our reality and shape our identity. Choosing Your Identity narrates Dara V. Rose's story of a life bombarded with trauma. There were a host of siblings waiting for her arrival. Dara was the 11th child, the baby of the family. She was welcomed by a loving two-parent Christian home until things changed. As her family unit, innocence and safety were robbed, she questioned belief in God versus "having church," purpose, and identity. Experiencing her parent's divorce, sexual abuse, the untimely death of her brother, and teenage pregnancy, she wondered if purpose could exist when trauma was present. She journeys through releasing family trauma and choosing her identity. Dara explores forgiveness and love to understand the power of making daily choices.
