Church Hurt, Hands That Prey

Has anyone ever asked you; "Who are you?" Have you ever asked yourself; "Why, am I?" Why do I think the way I do, and why are my relationships what they are? My relationships start off well, but often end in turmoil, why? You may have suppressed thoughts of a traumatic experience subconsciously living with you. Who you appear to be is but a shadow of the real you, a representative of who you wish to be. You have not come upon this book by accident, at this point in your life, you are living with purpose because you have decided that what has happened in the past is the past and everything has worked out for your good. In fact, you are who you are because of your past and the person you are now is the person you are supposed to be. Are you certain of that or is, "worked out for my good" a form of whitewash? Have you unknowingly been misled by your childhood religion to whitewash pain and disappointment with Jesus suffered so I too must suffer? It is then that you are revealed, all the pain, suppressed thoughts and repressed feelings are set free to cause all your relationships to end the same. Have you ever had to love someone out of their pain? You couldn't understand how the person could say they love you while hurting you at the same time, but because of your love for them, you endured. Weren't you told that God hates divorce, even if divorce is your only hope for living since the person to whom you are married is the cause of your death. Should you die so that someone else can live? Church Hurt, Hands That Prey takes you into the lives of people who have lived in the shadows of other people's "truths."
