Clarity From Within the Ashes of the Midnight Hour

This is a concept poetry that tells the storyline of a man that falls deeply in lust with a woman. They both want love but never learned what it is. While the man falls deeper into heart break from the aftermath of the doomed romance, he begins to see his place in the world as a black man in America. The news breaks a new story every night on how someone that looks like him is murdered without repercussions. While he is watching these news stories, he begins losing loved ones to the city he lives in. He feels engulfed by a society that hates him and an enviornment that hates themselves. Feeling worthless, depression sets. He desperately seeks clarity inside himself before its all too late. Just to find self-worth, self-pride, self-love, a healthy love... just to find any form of clarity.
