CPA Kelly Rolen has made her choices, and she stands by them. She's worked hard to build an orderly, respectable life in her hometown of Darlington, Illinois and she doesn't need a brash, young intern like Elliot Garza underfoot and in her business. However, her father's stroke leaves her exhausted and overworked during tax
season, and she is forced to accept the help.

Elliot Garza is charismatic, driven, and poised her for her big break. The only thing between her and a high-powered job in Washington D.C. is her CPA program's internship requirement. She knows she has the skills necessary to do the job well, but she is less certain about her ability handle her beautiful, but sharp-edged boss.
