First-time author Keith A. Williams based his book on actual events from his days as an over-the-road trucker. Every time he told this story, he was told it was a great story and would make a great book. His wife thought it would be a good childrens book. The author agreed, not only writing the book with a twist and telling it from the coyotes perspective, but he also did all the illustrations. He and his wife live in Carlyle, Illinois, with their two dogs, Augie and Gator, and a cat named Miss. Kitty.
