Unfortunately, people are kidnapped and murdered more than we care to think about.In my situation, with over thirty years as a member of the California Highway Patrol, I've been privy to these statistics.However, I'd rubbed shoulders with kidnapping and murder long before my pinning as a Patrolman, and not just once!Personal tragedy can be handled in many different ways.I am one who typically chooses the head-on approach when addressing most things.Little did I know how my life choices would allow me to be involved in the lives of so many others, whether they liked it or not, and in the process come face-to-face with my own family's nemesis.In the stories I've chosen to share here, you will learn not only about my life and family history, butyou will also find that truth is far greater than fiction, not every story has a happy ending, and yet laughter and enjoying the ride is what it's all about.
