Computational Statistics in Climatology

Historically, description of climate has been approached through the study of average values of meteorological observations from different points on Earth. In recent years the need to consider not only these averages but other statistics has become apparent - statistics that utimately characterize spatial and temporal variability. This book is designed to meet this need.
