Conflict & Honor

Areesa Davis, an only child, faces the unexpected death of her parents, alone. Her dying mother's plead for her to get in touch with someone she had never heard of, was appeased by Areesa agreeing to do so. After her parents' funeral, Areesa enlist into the Army and begin her new life when she realizes she must honor the deathbed promise she made to her dying mother. Areesa keeps her promise, and learns a shocking truth, her parents were on the run for murder.

Though she tries to keep up with her military duties, she is haunted by her parents' secret and Drill Sergeant A. Patterson, a by the book, no-nonsense NCO, who never lets up his constant demand for her to "soldier-up." The more he engages her, the more he finds himself emotionally drawn to her. He's absorbed by her nightly crying on the balcony after lights out and strange phone calls from someone she denies knowing. For the first time in his army career, he is in conflict, as he struggles to uphold the Drill Sergeant Creed.

Patterson and Areesa embark on a journey of forbidden love, as they search for answers to a twenty-year-old murder; the two find themselves in conflict and bound by honor.
