Cooperative Learning in Music

General music teachers at the middle level provide the all-important bridge between required general music instruction for all elementary students and elective music study for high school students. These strategies employ a variety of literaturefrom operas and traditional Western music to Native American songs, Japanese music, and blues. They help teachers implement the K-12 National Standards for Music Education with step-by-step instructions.
