According to the increasing demands for the internet access the future-proof bimodal FiWi (fiber - wireless) broadband access networks is introduced by using the main technologies optical fiber and wireless. Occasionally FiWi access network is called HOWAN (Hybrid-Optical-Wireless-Network) or WOBAN (Wireless-Optical-Broadband-Access-Network). FiWi networks developed quickly mature and signify a candidate of promising with a view to reduce the costs, and the consumption of the power, bottlenecks of bandwidth for the next generation of the access broadband networks. Principally FiWi access networks have a prestigious architecture for the next-generation access network.
