Cote D'ivoire And The Challenges Facing Private Security Companies

The private security sector in Ivorian society is booming. While the security, economic, social and professional prospects are good, it is the lack of state control of this sector that is a cause for concern. This paper presents the challenges facing the sector in Côte d'Ivoire through an analysis of its development, and proposes recommendations likely to lead to better regulation of this sector in Ivorian society.
