Counterfeit

City Detective Baker asks Mitchell Adams, a social worker in private practice, to counsel a suicidal disabled black man named Lonnie who's been arrested for counterfeiting and armed robbery. Reluctantly, Mitch agrees and learns this is no open-and-shut case. Are the bills fake? Are Lonnie, Det. Baker, and the city prosecutor who they claim to be? Mitch's life hinges on the word of a counterfeiter and the greed of a prosecutor, and he won't back down without a fight.

Counterfeit is the follow-up book to Interrogation, second in the Mitchell Adams series of four novels. Stand-alone novels by this author include Prodigal and The Nostradamus Society, both for release in 2024.
