Alongside the photographs, Glasgow crime expert Robert Jeffrey tells the story behind the images - the criminals, the police whose job it was to catch them and the investigations that enthralled the city as they unfolded each day in the pages of "The Herald" and "Evening Times." Most of the images in "Crimes Past - Glasgow's Crimes of the Century" are published for the first time since the original newspaper stories of the cases were printed and many of the archive photographs have never appeared in print before, making "Crimes Past" a unique record of a century of crime, which brings the dark side of the city vividly to life.
