Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) combines the advantages of providing fast means of internet access with the usage of an existent infrastructure known as the Plain Old Telephone Services (POTS). Transmissions that are use higher frequencies are more subject to attenuation and to crosstalk. Crosstalk is the undesired radiation of energy among wires. It is more likely to occur among/between similar frequencies and results in received signal that differs from the original signal form that was sent. In other words, crosstalk is a disturbance caused by the electric or magnetic fields of one telecommunication signal affecting a signal in an adjacent circuit.
