CRUISE Drama gives an exposition of the reality behind the fantasy of one of the fastest growing leisure trips taken by fun seekers in their bid to distance themselves from the banal, mundane grind of the world of the workplace - The go on ocean cruises. The readers experience a roller coaster ride in which they are flung to the edge of abyss to the portals of romantic ecstasy. The novel captures the eternal desire of working people to fulfill a fantasy that eludes them in their everyday world, where individuals get lost in the routine of work, family commitment and paying bills. The cruisers are pampered, served, entertained and fed by a crew who are engaged in their own struggles with reality. They are tossed with the crew to seek and follow their dreams but simultaneously they must unravel their fragile, uncertain destinies. Nature and fate intervene and the cruise community is forced to band together in the fight for their mortality and survive on the high seas. Captain Andrew Smolenki, who has to slay his own demons and his vivacious, spirited Cruise Director, who invokes the spirit of her Titanic surviving grandmother, join together on a mission. They summon all their resourcefulness and experience in a determined effort to avoid the catastrophe of the loss of the lives of over three thousand passengers and crew, going to the floor of the ocean. With them would sink their dreams and their chances of redeeming themselves and getting a second chance to fulfill their own lives on their return to port.
