This greatly expanded revision of Peter Alexander's original Basic Cubase book covers sequencing and MIDI editing, drum loops, panning, signal flow of the Cubase virtual mixing board, setting levels between the mixing board and Cubase, implementing and recording with Cubase virtual instruments, steps to digital audio recording, review of Cubase effects, mixing basics, and score notation basics. Special emphasis is also placed on using Peavey's PC 1600x MIDI Command Station for effective editing and mixing within Cubase. The accompanying CD-ROM contains MIDI and audio practice files that illustrate key teaching points, dozens of pre-formatted drum patterns, and a demo version of Translator software.
