Current Research in Epilepsy

Epilepsy is a disorder of the central nervous system that is characterized by recurring epileptic seizures. The brain activity becomes abnormal, causes seizures and periods of sensations and unusual behavior. It affects people of all ages. These epileptic seizures are the result of excessive and abnormal neuronal activity in the cortex of the brain. These seizures range from undetectable shorter to longer periods of time.
