Cyclical Nature of Domestic Violence

Every Child Matters (Department of Children Schools and Families 2003)' and the subsequent Children Act passed in November 2004 raised the degree of accountability, especially at Local Authority level. Therefore, understanding of domestic violence, cycles of abuse and its impact is necessary in order to plan an intervention to minimise the suffering of victims as an informed practioner. I hope to apply the expertise gained in this project to real world situations and to develop skills in problem identification and analysis through my project
