Cyclotrons '98 is the 15th of a series of international conferences which was initiated in 1959. The proceedings provide a review of progress in the field of cyclotron design and technology as well as in the development of applications of this type of particle accelerator. Cyclotrons are used in basic and applied research, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine.
Both theoretical and experimental contributions are included. In addition, a complete list of existing cyclotrons with their characteristics is given.
