Danielle's Story

This account transports one directly to Danielle's hospital room, to the Intensive Care Units and to the Operating Rooms where the various events unfolded. The reader shares the pain which both Danielle and her distraught mother endured, the false hopes of different treatment attempts, the minor triumphs along the way, the "small blessings" that cheered them at times and the despair when, in the final analysis, all of the treatments had the same result.
