Data Structures Via C++

This is a textbook for an introductory level course on Data Structures. All examples are developed using C++; advanced features of C++ are introduced as needed. Techniques of Object-Oriented Programming are introduced in the course of the book, with a strong emphasis on encapsulation and detailed coverage of inheritance. An emphasis on Software Engineering includes discussion of the software life-cycle, software design, testing, assertions and invariants, and abstract data types. The primary data structures included are lists, stacks, queues, tables, trees, and graphs. The author has developed various ancillary materials for the text, including Java Applets, source code, and transparencies.
