Death in a Cold Hard Light

In the cold hard light of a December morning, a young man's corpse is found in the storm-churned waters off Nantucket. Detective Merry Folger is puzzled: the dead man had the body of an athlete and worked the scallop boats. He shouldn't have drowned. But even worse, dead ends and false leads confront Merry at every turn--and her police chief father is behind too many of them.
