Death's Promise

In a dystopian Earth after a nuclear war has destroyed nearly everything, a deaf girl named 9 is followed one evening by Molly, a curious vampire who notices 9's sweet aura. After approaching 9, Molly communicates psychically and asks if she would like to accompany her to a discotheque. When 9 agrees, a strange chain of events is set into motion that changes everything. As girl and vampire encounter and attempt to fight off several beasts inside the club, Molly accidentally causes 9's death. Just like all other beings that die, Molly goes to the afterlife where it is illegal for the dead to alter the course of a mortal's life. But the atmosphere surrounding the afterlife might as well be hell as majikless roughnecks run rampant with a chaotic monopoly of the substance known as time.
