DEFROSTED, BECAUSE THE WORLD IS MORE STRESSFUL THAN EVER. SO, KICK BACK AND RELAX WITH WHAT FEELS LIKE LONG-LOST FRIENDS!

My name is Paul Rashid. I am a board-certified psychiatrist of Lebanese American descent, born and raised in West Virginia. During my extensive training and ongoing education, I've come to realize the therapeutic benefits of engaging in the arts and creative activities, which can significantly reduce mental stress and improve overall health. Working as a psychiatrist can be emotionally draining, as emotions are contagious. Consequently, I prioritize the maintenance of my mental and physical well-being by incorporating daily exercise, consuming organic whole foods whenever possible, and ensuring I get a full 8 hours of sleep each night. This commitment is essential as I strive to perform at my highest level every day, providing the best care possible to each of my patients.

One of the activities that replenishes my internal reserves is writing. Through this passion, I've embarked on the creation of the P2 Comics Universe, a venture that is not only enjoyable but also holds great personal meaning. To promote the therapeutic value of the arts, I've coined a motto, "Anxiety-N-2-Arts."

Those who knew me during my childhood would attest to my somewhat quirky and unique nature. I have always had a deep love for television and movies. In my youth, I often imitated Jim Carrey and even adopted the persona of Kramer from Seinfeld during my high school years, earning me that nickname for several years. Then, on a random day in January 2023, I sat down and started writing. It was a parody of Seinfeld, reminiscent of the parodies Mad Magazine has offered for various television shows and movies over the years. My familiarity with these characters allowed me to enter a state of complete creative flow, making it the most enjoyable writing experience I've ever had. Remarkably, within just three days, I had completed the entire script for the first issue.

My next challenge was to find the right artist. DEFROSTED required a skilled character artist with a deep understanding of comic books. Fate smiled upon me, as with a single social media post, I connected with five talented artists. One of them, Miguel Galindo, quickly stood out. With over a decade of experience in comics and a knack for cartooning, Miguel's talents perfectly complemented the project. Furthermore, he shared the same love for the original sitcom as I did.

Miguel's exceptional talent has even earned him the prestigious Mexican National Journalist Award for Caricatures and Humor. I hope that as you dive into DEFROSTED, you enjoy it as much as Miguel and I did while creating it.
