Dictionary of AIDS Related Terminology

This dictionary provides definitions of the words, names and phrases most frequently found in discussions of AIDS and HIV. Approximately 1100 entries include abbreviations and acronyms, such as CBO (community-based organization) and CMV (cytomegalovirus); historical terms, such as gay-related immune deficiency (GRID) and human T cell leukemic-lymphoma virus-III (HTLV-III); key names, such as Gallo, Montagnier and Sonnabend; medical terminology, such as cryptosporidiosis and toxoplasmosis; and AIDS-specific sources of information, such as the AIDS-Knowledge Base, AIDSLINE and the National AIDS Information Clearinghouse.
