G.C. Waldrep is regarded as one of the most original and boldest poets of his generation. His first collection, Goldbeater's Skin, won the 2003 Colorado Prize for Poetry, judged by Donald Revell, as well as a Greenwall award from the Academy of American Poets. That book sold through its first printing (1000 copies) and an additional 200 second edition copies have been sold via POD printing. The Center for Literary Publishing intends to keep that title in print and available. Waldrep publishes consistently in such leading mainstream and "edgier" literary publications as Poetry, Ploughshares, Kenyon Review, Gettysburg Review, Boston Review, New England Review, Georgia Review, Colorado Review, American Letters & Commentary, Tin House, and New American Writing.
