Doctor School

Recently divorced, Kate Simpson moves to Boston to begin her first year of medical school. As a single mother of a four year old daughter, she is unprepared for the strains of medical education, the inequities within a patriarchal profession, and the demands of motherhood. More than overwhelmed, Kate faces futher emotional obstacles when her ex-husband is released from prison and contrives to abduct his own child.

Intriguing suspense, a dash of romance, the comic relief of an eccentric detective, and the uniqueness of Boston circa 1970 is weaved within the engaging background of doctoring, parenting and a personal quest for independence.
