Dread Road

This fictional account of a bus trip fromAlbuquerque to Denver, a journey through theAmerican hell, was ten years in the making. Through a phantasmagoric mingling of three texts, Le Sueur the old radical returns, triumphant and terrible, to remind us what we have sowed fromracism, oppression, and nuclear experiment, andhow near is the hour of retribution. The bookcontains a core text of the central story, withlyrical additions on one side and citations from the writings of Edgar Allan Poe on the other.
