When Cat McLean moves to a new town halfway through the year, little does she know fitting in will be the easy part.

After living through a near-fatal accident, Cat wakes to discover she possesses mysterious new abilities. But just as she's discovering that home room and magic don't mix, she stumbles upon an ancient evil hell-bent on destroying her new town, and her family along with it.

Will she learn how to harness her new powers in time to stop the harvest?
