Nicolas Ott (author) suffered from schizophrenia, when he wrote this book. He finished it shortly before he died. His fantastic novel about the battles between the Black and the White Magicians give a fascinating insight into his own feelings during the last stage of the author's illness.In writing he found a way he to express his own feelings and dealings with schizophrenia.
