The thesis will provide a deeper understanding of the African continent. Furthermore it will give a description about development strategies, currently applied on Africa. The thesis will continue by providing Information about Africa's past and present economic performance, including the major constraints for African development.
In the final part an outlook for Africa's future will be described by creating a scenario analysis as well as a development roadmap for an individual country. The thesis will conclude with a table ranking all Eastern African countries according to selected business criteria.
