Echoes of the Past

When Emily and Danny move into an old house in Dorset, Emily stumbles upon a dusty, faded old book filled with untidy handwriting. As she reads it, enthralled, she realises that it is the long-lost diary of a girl who lived a century and half earlier. It tells of a heart-rending tale of deprivation, illness and suffering in Dickensian England. As Emily turns back to the diary day after day, she finds it puts the anguish she has been suffering in her own life in a new light, and is able to look to the future with renewed spirit.
