Emily thinks that she's just a normal kid, who until she met Eddie was quite content with her boring life.

Going to school and humiliating the obnoxious bully 'Brent' and learning the piano were the most exciting things going for a 10-year-old kid living in Doon, a quiet and wintry port city nestled in the hills of New Anderson far away from the rest of the world in the far corner of the great Oceania Sea.

Eddie and his family move to Doon as refugee foreigners from the land of LINQ far across the seas in the north.

However Eddie and his parents Jack and Mom are not a normal family at all.
