History of the forbidden explorations in Africa tells the story of the voyages of the explorers who penetrated those parts of Africa where entry to Westerners was forbidden. It takes us on the epic of these adventurers who, adopting different personalities, disguised or as slaves, entered Morocco, Timbuktu, the Sahara or the most conflictive countries in sub-Saharan Africa, risking their lives to do so. Fernando Ballano will take us on a journey through space and time to discover the different Spanish spies - Badía, Gatell and Cervera - who dared to carry out their work in Morocco, and we will witness the executions of the Westerners who tried to enter Timbuktu, how the Sahara was travelled incognito by the Frenchman Vieuchange who visited the holy city of Smara dressed as a woman, how Rosita Forbes crossed the Libyan desert dressed as an Arab wife, among many other stories featuring fascinating characters.
