El Castellano de Getxo

This study analyzes the variety of Spanish spoken in the Basque Country and, more specifically, in the town of Getxo. The first, theoretical, part provides a definition of the concept of "Spanish of the Basque Country," while the second, empirical, part discusses 17 linguistic phenomena featuring in a corpus of 20 interviews conducted with monolingual speakers of Spanish.
